This June 3rd would have been our Dad's 95th Birthday.
I remember how I used to say to him that with his good health, I wouldn't be surprised
if he lived well past 100 years - well it took a bacterial infection to call him home.
My Dad was a great guy - he was always putting others before his own needs
I think that in these last couple of years as he was starting to experience the lack of mobility that we can all expect from old age, his heart of giving was losing a very important channel to work through. His talent to work hard was part and parcel of his expression of faith in God - helping others - not only his immediate family, but God's family
I know of many in the close knit community of Hawaii that can attest to this - his greatest talent was caring for others.
I'm so grateful that God had assigned him the duty of being our Captain, our Father & Friend
