It saddens me to hear of Jim passing.
We met at Arizona Coyotes games and Jim always has a smile in his face.
I remember the first time I came to Emese and Jim’s home on Oahu I was coming to stay and animal sit Rexy and Striker. Jim and I went for a walk down but the water with striker. Jim and I were talking about the boats a s military vessels that came through the harbor. We were laughing and talking. Striker constantly at Jim’s side. Well I must have gotten a bit close to Jim and striker made it known. The love between striker and Jim was evident. Striker and I bonded that week and became friends. (Could have used a heads up about his running off to explore at 3am to explore but still a fond memory). I know that they are together now, neither hurting or sick, reunited!!

My deepest condolences on the passing of Jim.
There is a "time and season" for everything. For Jim, his "season" on earth has ended. He'll now begin to experioence the next phase of his eternal existence. But for now, the "pain of separation" will be deep for everyone involved. I'll leave it up to a loving God to comfort your hearts.
I had the opportunity to do tax work for Jim for 30 years. Visiting with him, whether in person or by phone, was always a very pleasant experience. Jim was always pleasant and respectful. And he had an aire about him of humbleness and appreciation for the things with which he had been blessed.
I get the impression he traveled through life with kindness, compassion, and respect for others. A life "well-lived," indeed.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I have fond memories of visiting Jim & Emese in Honolulu. Jim was very attached to their pets. Sunny, their little dog was his best bud and accompanied him every day to go visit the turtles, (Hanu) in the ocean behind their house. Sadly, Sunny passed a little while ago, and I'm sure they are reunited in human/doggie heaven.
I’m glad you will live-stream, Emese! So many memories of Jim. Some of my favorites..hockey games, holidays, showing me the turtles in the lagoon, how quietly generous he was and what a quiet servant. A perfect example of doing things without looking for recognition, just out of goodness.
I feel grateful to say he was my friend.
