Lito Macatbag Asuncion's Obituary
Lito Macatbag Asuncion, 69, of Hilo, died June 23, 2020 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired program planner for elderly affairs in the Counties of Kauai and Hawaii, former manager and co-owner of Prince Kuhio One Hour Photo in Hilo, co-founder, first president, and advisor of Sariling Gawa Youth Council, and former officer and member of several Filipino and professional organizations in Hawaii. He was the grandson of a 1930 Sakada (sugar plantation laborer), and son of a 1946 Sakada.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Macugay Asuncion; son, Rico Macugay Asuncion; sisters, Guillerma Cabie of West Covina, California, Gloria (Feliciano) Bautista of Diamond Bar, California; brothers, Edward Lee (Fidela) Asuncion of Honolulu, Nestor (Chandell) Asuncion of Hilo; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
