Norman Nakano's Obituary
Norman Nakano, 72, of Kea’au, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
Norman was born in Hilo. He trusted Jesus as his Savior and was devoted to his family. He enjoyed surfing, practicing karate, singing, building and helping others. Norman was a retired technician at Hawaiian Telcom.
He was survived by his wife, Betsy Nakano of Hilo; brothers, Ivan (Linda) Nakano of Hilo, Leslie (Bernie) Nakano of Kea’au; son, Roman (Jenny) Nakano, of Kea’au, daughters, Stephanie Nakano of Austin, Texas, Michelle (Royden) Chow of Kea’au and Lisa (Skee) Saplan of Hilo; 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons; aunties, nephews and nieces. Private services held, no monetary or floral offerings.
